Why Counseling?
Hope is a confident expectation and desire for something.
Venture is a risky or daring journey.
Are you struggling with hurts or hang-ups? Are you frustrated with your life circumstances and need help seeing things differently? Ready to have your hope restored?
You have found the right place to rediscover the hope you need as we embark together on a daring journey toward health and wholeness.
My Approach
My approach with clients is based on my faith values and view that all people are worthy of wellness. It is my sincere desire to come alongside my clients in their current hurts, hang-ups or difficulties and offer support and hope. I believe we all hold intrinsic potential for understanding ourselves and resolving our own problems. Sometimes we all need support and thus I couple this person-centered approach with practical applications of cognitive-behavioral theory. You may have heard the saying “what you think about you bring about” and I believe that often our cognitive processes result in emotional responses and behaviors that impact our lives in unhelpful ways. As we collaborate together to identify your challenges and change thoughts, we may produce the desired changes in mood/emotions and behavior you desire. I am here to establish a safe therapeutic connection, walk with you, challenge you and help you find hope in your circumstances.
