Hope Venture Counseling

Remember back in July of 2022 when I told you I was embarking upon my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling?

Well, the end is upon us as I anticipate graduation in December. I’m finishing up my internship at Juniper Mountain Counseling. Let me tell you, this has been the BEST experience with the most outstanding people! I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity. If you need a good counselor, they are sure to have one that would be a GREAT fit for you!

So what is next?

January 2025 I’ll be accepting new clients at my private practice, Hope Venture Counseling! Hope is a confident expectation and desire for something. I hoped I would finish my degree with flying colors. You may have hoped you didn’t have to go through the tough things you’ve gone through. Your children may have hoped for a different dessert last night. I know my husband hopes to have more time with his wife, now that my coursework is done.

Venture is a risky or daring journey. Therapy is just that….risky and daring. When we contemplate starting on our healing journey we are often filled with doubts and hesitation as to if it will be worth the risk. Then once we schedule our first appointment, we tend to have second thoughts and nervousness about having to be vulnerable and unpack our story with a stranger. It is risky and daring. BUT it is worth it!

Sure, Tracy, you would say that its worth it because you are starting a counseling practice but that is not the reason I say it. I say it is worth it because I’ve done it myself. I spent the better part of 6 years focused on finding hope and healing for my own hurts and hang-ups. It was worth it! It was hard, it was vulnerable, it sometimes got worse before it got better but it was WORTH it!

So, I leave you with this invitation. Therapy is not just for the person that is mentally ill. It is for all of us! If you are looking to better understand yourself, your emotions, your life choices and have thought “Is this all God has for me?”, then counseling is probably for you. Yes it can be helpful to have someone walk through difficult life events with but is also helpful to find the power and strength within yourself to be all God created you to be.

Yes, I’ll be a Christian counselor but that does not mean you have to be a Christ follower in order to work with me. We can integrate faith into your services or we can leave it on the other side of the door. This is your journey and I will help you define your goals for therapy, whatever they may be.

If you would like to get on the waiting list for an appointment please fill the contact form and I’ll be in touch!

BE WELL!
